Beloved zouk community, artists, event fans and friends,

Due to the escalating impact of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and in the best interest of the health and safety of all participants and attendees of The Ibiza Zouk Dance Festival we have had to make the difficult decision to postpone the event.

The Coronavirus is undergoing sustained worldwide transmission and has struck the Spanish mainland very hard. The Spanish government in Madrid has extended their current lockdown measures to contain the virus and has strictly advised to avoid gatherings which can accelerate the transmission of the Coronavirus. This pandemic situation will most likely not pass in time before our event.

The Ibiza Zouk Dance Festival 2019 was an epic experience. We have received many enthusiastic reactions from both the community and artists. Right after the festival we were overwhelmed with the demand for 2020 tickets. We would love to repeat the amazing festival of last year and make it even better for our attendees this year. However, things need to be safe for everyone involved. This is our first and main priority! Even if the situation changes by April or May, we feel it would not be the right situation to have the celebration we wanted to have.

It’s usually around this time you’d be getting excited about your trip to Ibiza Zouk Dance Festival. But with everything going on at the moment we know there’s lots of uncertainty. We have closely monitored the situation. We assure you that this was not an easy decision for us as we don’t want to disappoint our enthusiastic participants. However, our community’s safety is paramount and we can’t put them into a risky situation that is why we are postponing the event. The utmost importance and concern for us is our community’s safety and health.

Our sincere and humble apologies to our community members, volunteers, supporters, business partners and sponsors. We truly thank you for your patience, understanding and wonderful support.

Please be understanding that these are extraordinary times, and that events you have paid for may need to be modified or cancelled perhaps without the ability to get refunds on flights, hotels, event tickets and other expenses. That is understandably a disappointing and frustrating experience.

At the same time, please understand that event organizers may not be able to recuperate all their costs, and if they issue full refunds to everyone, then they may come into a financially detrimental situation not being able to run the event again.

Most of the expenses have already been made and we have no guarantees to get everything back. In contrary to our Policy, Terms & Conditions we have transferred every ticket for the full 100% to the next edition of the Ibiza Zouk Dance Festival. This way we have done everything in our power to achieve the best possible solution for everyone who had already bought tickets for the postponed festival, while still maintaining the opportunity to continue organizing the Ibiza Zouk Dance Festival in future years to come.
